The new year’s fiery dawn brought me the understanding that one can only control his/her own life. You cannot control the life of others, no matter how much you try. You can’t change the way they feel about you or the decisions they make. You can only try to influence them and hope it is for the best. This is why in relationships you must cherish what life gives you and not be too picky. Otherwise you risk leaving empty-handed after you wasted quite a handful of good chances.
