Snowdrop

In the soulless land of ice

Grasped by winter’s frozen grasp

A stone was wailing in the dark

Longing for the touch of life

The wind was howling endlessly,

A lone wolf ‘s sole companion

The light of moon was shining down

The barren path of solitude

But there was life among the trees

As there there is hope in all of these

The darkest hour has a spark

The dawn is following the dark

A pure and tiny snowdrop grows

Under the snow of silent woes

It might be frail, but it stands tall

Warming hearts and winning souls

And it gives hope, and it gives strength

The spring is smiling yet again

And by the tracks of wolves a lot

The snowdrop…

Shall not be forgot!
